Amanda Orea Small

Amanda Orea Small, 93, of Village Mills, died Saturday, June 11, 2016.  She was born on December 27, 1922, in Many, Louisiana, to Lillie Pearl Swindell Snider and Arthur Asbury Snider. 

Survivors include her husband, Floyd L. Small, Jr.; children, Dianne Conkle of Hampshire; Herbert Ayres and his wife, Sharon, of Warren; Terry Ayres and his wife, Sylvia, of Evadale; and Rex Ayres and his wife, Sara, of Lumberton; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers, Albert Snider of Georgia and Herman Snider of Houston.  She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Jessie Ayres; three grandchildren; three brothers; and two sisters.

A gathering of Mrs. Small's family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with her funeral service at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at Broussard's, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  Her committal will be held at Broussard's Crematorium, Beaumont.
