JoAnn Welch Bryant

JoAnn Welch Bryant, 83, of High Island, joined her Heavenly family Friday, June 10, 2016.

She was born on September 24, 1932, in Milam County, Texas to Eunice Wise Welch and Thomas Richard Welch.

Survivors include her daughters, Jan Kent and her husband, Gary and Denise Starnes, all of High Island; son, Paul Bryant and his wife, Susan, of Houston; seven grandchildren, Laura, Garrett, Lindsey, Ryan, David, Sophia and Cooper; and eight great-grandchildren, Danyelle, Jonathon, Victoria, Michael, Colton, Tommi Jo, Jacoby and Kingston.

She is preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Jacob Kent; and brother, Charles Dean Welch.

A gathering of Mrs. Bryant’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 13, 2016, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer, Winnie. Her funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at Broussard’s. A graveside service will follow Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 p.m., at Rosewood Memorial Park, 2602 South Houston Avenue, Humble.
