Jana Rae Pittman, 28, of Nederland, died Sunday, June 5, 2016. She was born on December 29, 1987, in Nederland, to Donna Marie Smith Pittman and John Lester Pittman, and had been a lifelong resident of the area.

Jana enjoyed reading, running, and spending time at the lake with her family and friends. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend.

Survivors include her son, Maddox Lee Lambert; parents, Lester and Donna Pittman; brother, Johnny Pittman and his wife, Lauren; grandparents, Johnny and Judy Pittman, all of Nederland; and Jimmie and Barbara Smith of Melrose, New Mexico; niece, Avery Pittman; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other relatives and friends.

A gathering of Jana’s family and friends will begin at 5:00 p.m. with her funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 9, 2016, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A private family committal will be held at a later date at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
