Norman Elroy Ward, 54, of
Lumberton, died Tuesday, May 31, 2016. He was born on October 4, 1961, in
Beaumont, to Dora Glaze Ward and Byron
Ward. Norman worked as a corrections officer.
Survivors include his wife,
Rayna Ward; daughter, Kendra Ward of Lumberton; grandchildren, Byron Elroy
Ward, Alfredo Lazo, and Leelyn Ward, all of Lumberton; sister, Debra Vincent of
Lumberton; five nieces and nephews; ten great-nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law,
Jamie Elfert and her husband, Mike, and Phyllis Guidry and her husband, John,
all of Houma, Louisiana; brother-in-law, Allen Janow of Kountze; and close
friend, James Hare of Vidor. He is preceded in death by his parents;
sister, Sheron Ward; brother-in-law, Billy Vincent; and sister-in-law,
Christine Janow.
Mr. Ward’s celebration of
life will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Saturday, June 4, 2016, at Broussard’s,
490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His committal was held at Broussard’s
Crematorium, Beaumont.
