Violet Tyson Roseberry

Violet Tyson Roseberry, 90, of Winnie, died Saturday, May
28, 2016 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur. She was born
on October 14, 1925, in Port Arthur, to Catherine Pinell and William Hughes
Tyson.
“Cheedeek” was a retired nurse’s assistant, who freely shared
memories of growing up during the Depression, with five brothers and four
sisters. She had many happy times, living in Nebraska, with her husband, and
family. She enjoyed cooking, canning, making jelly and preserves. Violet loved
flower gardening, watching football, NASCAR and baseball.
Violet is survived by daughter, Sheila Leger and son, Jack
Roseberry, both of Winnie; grandchildren, Angelina Simien and her husband, Sam;
and Dylan McKenzie; great-grandchildren,
Jesse, Gia and Christian Simien; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Earl
M. Roseberry.
A gathering of Mrs. Roseberry’s family and friends
will begin at 4:00 p.m., with a memorial service to follow at 5:00 p.m.,
Thursday, June 2, 2016, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. A private
family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the
direction of Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie.
