Valda Yvonne Maxey, 78,
of Nederland, died Friday, May 27, 2016. She was born on October 10, 1937, in
Beaumont, to Dora Crow Hulsey and Ray Hulsey.
Survivors include her
husband, John Maxey, II of Nederland; daughter, Alise Duhon of Nederland; son,
Captain John Maxey, III and his wife, Stacy, of Etoile; grandchildren, Brian W.
Morgan and his wife, Brittany Hight; Cody Montalvo; and Kris Montalvo; and
great-grandchildren, Khloe, Kallie, and Kason Montalvo. She is preceded in
death by her parents.
A graveside service for
Mrs. Maxey will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 3, 2016, at Oak Bluff Memorial Park,
101 Block Street, Port Neches, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th
Street, Nederland.
