Marcia Meche

Marcia Meche, 69, of Port Arthur, died Friday, May 27, 2016. She was born on September 10, 1946, in Rayne, Louisiana, to Clophina Meche Cormier and Ernest Joseph Cormier.

Marcia enjoyed flowers, gardening, and needlepoint. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Survivors include her sons, Mark Gallion of Port Arthur and Tony Gallion and his wife, Mary, of Port Neches; daughters, Amy Ledet and her husband, Roland, of Groves; Angela Matte of Groves; and Lori Ramirez of Port Arthur; grandchildren, Cody, Demetria, Clophina, Jordan, Matthew, Travis, and Kaitlyn; great-grandson, Jude; mother, Clophina Cormier; and sisters, Chereline Dugas of Port Arthur and Stephanie Bodin and her husband, Bobby, of Port Neches.

She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-six years, Herbert Meche; and her father, Sam Cormier.

A gathering of Mrs. Meche’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with her Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Monday, May 30, 2016, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
