Dahrel "D.D." Harris, Sr.

Dahrel “D.D.” Harris, Sr., 81, of Wildwood, died Friday, May 20, 2016. He was born on November 23, 1934, in Shelby County.  Dahrel was raised in Beaumont and a 1953 graduate from Avinger High School. He was a longtime resident of Lumberton before retiring in Wildwood with his wife. Dahrel was a life member of Pipefitters Local 195.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Elaine Harris; son, Dahrel D. Harris, Jr. and his wife, Gina; grandsons, Brad Harris and Dahrel Harris; great-grandchildren, Makayla, Ryder and Jeslyn; and a number of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A gathering of Mr. Harris’ family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with his funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.  His interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
