Alyce Lanford Jones

Alyce Lanford Jones, 98, of Nome, died Friday, May 20, 2016. She was born on January 2, 1918, in Greer, South Carolina, to Lucy Brockman Lanford and Collier Boyd Lanford, and had been a longtime resident of Nome. Alyce was a retired bookkeeper for Nome Supply Company, Nome and longtime member of First Baptist Church, Nome.

She is survived by her daughter, Dianne Jones MacKenzie, of Nome; grandsons, Charles MacKenzie and his wife, Marilyn, of Nome and Joe MacKenzie and his wife, Stacey, of Bay City; great-grandchildren, Chance MacKenzie, Cade MacKenzie, Jace MacKenzie, and Taylor MacKenzie; sister, Catherine Lanford McDermand, of Nome.

A memorial service for Mrs. Jones will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 23, 2016, at First Baptist Church, 1985 Louisiana Street, Nome, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. There will be a gathering following the service at the church.
