Earl Gilmore

Earl Gilmore, 89, of Kountze, died Thursday, May 19, 2016, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. He was born on May 3, 1927, in Batson, to Ethel McCright Gilmore and Delbert Gilmore, and had been a longtime resident of Kountze. Earl was a United States Navy veteran and he was a Trinity Bay Supervisor in the oil and gas industry.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Gilmore, of Kountze; sons, Earl Delbert Gilmore and his wife, Paulette, of Bayou Vista and Lynn Gilmore, of Beaumont; daughter, Carla Marie Gilmore, of Lumberton; and grandchildren, Jamie Gilmore; Sabrina Gilmore; Cindy Barnes and her husband, Adam; Kevin Gilmore and his wife, Shannon; David Gilmore and his wife, Marla; Kris Gilmore and his wife, Kaylen; Katherine Broussard; Kaleb Gilmore; Koyla Gilmore; Kiah Gilmore; Shawna Florence; and Bethany Black and her husband, Tracy.

Earl is preceded in death by his brothers, Jessie Gilmore, Harold Gilmore, J.C. O’Quinn, and Garland O’Quinn.

A gathering of Mr. Gilmore’s family and friends will begin at 4:00 p.m., with his memorial service at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, May 22, 2016, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal will be at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
