Amour
Preble Geisen, 97, of Beaumont, closed her eyes, quieted her pain, and ascended
to a beautiful place to share with the love of her life, our father, her
husband Preston on Tuesday, May 17, 2016. She was born on June 17, 1918, to
Euphemie Miller White and Edmond White, in Abbeville, Louisiana. Amour was a
member of St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica in Beaumont. She retired from BISD
after 23 years of service.
Survivors
include her daughters, Barbara Pollack and her husband, Mike; Charlotte
Huckaby; and Margaret Ward and her husband, John, all of Beaumont; and Kathy
Santerre and her husband, Paul, of Kingwood; fifteen grandchildren; and eleven
great-grandchildren.
She
is preceded in death by one daughter, Glenda Preble; first husband, Preston
Preble; second husband, Peter Geisen; three brothers; two sisters; one granddaughter;
and one nephew.
The
family would like to extend a very special thank you to our mother’s excellent
care givers: Jeanette, Wanda, Gerry, and Jo Ann. Special thanks to Total
Hospice Care RN Sandy.
A
gathering of Mrs. Geisen’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00
p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m., Friday, May 20, 2016, at
Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be at
10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at
Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
