Michael "Mike" Hirleman

Michael “Mike” Hirleman, 71, of Groves, died Wednesday, May 11, 2016.  A native and lifetime resident of the area, he was born on November 13, 1944, in Port Arthur, to Nina Timmons Hirleman and Claude Hirleman.

Michael was a United States Air Force veteran and retired from AT&T, Western Electric, after over thirty-five years of service. Michael enjoyed reading and watching movies.

Survivors include his nephew, Donnie Towle of Lake Jackson; nieces, Cathy Towle and Debbie Klix and her husband, Rudy, all of Groves; and cousin, Howard Timmons of Pascagoula, Mississippi.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Dottie Faye Hirleman and JoAnn Towle.

A gathering of Mr. Hirleman’s family and friends will be from, 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 20, 2016, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His interment will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves at a later date.
