Donald
Richard Youngs, Sr., 86, of Beaumont, died Monday, May 16, 2016. He was born on
September 18, 1929, to Nora Rachel Mills and Durwood Rutenbur Youngs, in
McLure, New York, and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Donald
retired as a customer engineer for Southwest Building Systems. He attended
Trinity United Methodist Church and was a member of the choir for fifty-four
years.
Survivors
include his son, Rick Youngs and his wife, Joy, of Lumberton; daughter, Susan Brown
and her husband, Rick, of Beaumont; sister, Helen Bowen and her husband, Herb,
of Owago, New York; brother, Bill Youngs and his wife, Marilyn, of Moravia, New
York; and grandchildren, Hillary Cabeen and her husband, Clayton and Rachel
Brown, all of Beaumont and Derrick Youngs and David Youngs, both of Lumberton;
and three great-grandchildren.
He
is preceded in death by his wife, Lucinda Youngs.
A
gathering of Mr. Youngs’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00
p.m., Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive,
Beaumont. His funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 19, 2016, at
Trinity United Methodist Church, 3430 Harrison Avenue, Beaumont. His entombment
will follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
