Ludella Baker Ratcliff, 84, of
Spurger, died Friday, May 13, 2016, at Christus St.
Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
She was born on July 18, 1931, in Tyler
County to Bertie Moulder
Baker and Mack Baker.
Survivors include her children,
Judy Ratcliff of Tyler; Jo Ann Blanton and her husband, Terry, of Spurger;
Rebecca Allen and her husband, Dennis, of Peterborough, New Hampshire; and
Peggy Sue Falvey of Jasper; grandchildren, William Van Randen of Granbury;
Tonya Powell and her husband, Thomas, of Pineville, Louisiana; Christina
Greenwood and her husband, Doot, of Spurger; Theresa Richardson and her
husband, Melvin, Jr., of Spurger; Shawn Allen of Colorado; Shera Brown and her
husband, Ben, of Brookline, New Hampshire; Jake Ratcliff of Munday; and Stormy
Falvey of Lumberton; thirteen great-grandchildren; brother, Johnny Baker of
Warren; and sisters, Jessie Nigosian of Benicia, California and Maxine Collier
of Port Neches.
She is preceded in death by her
parents; husband, Joseph Escar Ratcliff; and siblings, Mae Simpson, Hewey
Baker, Lorene Leviness, Leon Baker, Velma Gore, and Verla Baker.
A gathering of Mrs. Ratcliff’s
family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 20,
2016, at Good Samaritan Baptist Church, 21544 FM 92 South, Fred, Texas, under
the direction of Broussard’s, Silsbee.
Her interment will follow at Beech
Creek Cemetery,
Spurger.
