Patsy Yvonne Lindsey, 76, of Winnie, died Wednesday, May 11, 2016. She was born on August 21, 1939, in Beaumont, to Catherine Choate and Elbert Marcus Choate, Sr.

She retired from Winnie Medical Center, after twenty-eight and a half years as a nurse. She was an avid sportsman, who loved hunting and fishing. Patsy spent countless hours in the garden, with her husband, C. R. She will be remembered as a dedicated nurse, who loved her family and life.

Mrs. Lindsey is survived by her husband, C. R. Lindsey; children, Timmy Lindsey, and  his wife, Julie, of Fannett; Dave Lindsey, and his wife, Brenda, of Angleton; Terry Lindsey, of Fannett; and Debbie Breaux and her husband, Russell, of Winnie; grandchildren, Nathan Lindsey, Marcus James, Travis Lindsey, Ashley Hasson, Danny Lindsey, Morgan Lindsey, Devyn Lindsey and Kaylie Lindsey; great-granchildren, Autumn James, Austin James and Olivia Lindsey; sister, Marie Luker and her husband, Al, of Huntsville; brother, Paul Choate and his wife, Evelyn, of Beaumont.

She was preceded in death by parents; brother, Elbert Marcus Choate, Jr.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 13, 2016, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2016, at First Baptist Church, 120 East Pear, Winnie, with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
