Paul
Henry Schlett, 87, of Beaumont, died Saturday, May 7, 2016. He was born on
December 21, 1928, in Beaumont, to Nettie Manning Schlett and William Schlett,
and had been a longtime resident of Beaumont.
Paul was a United States Army veteran, having served in the Korean War.
He retired as a boilermaker from Unocal.
Survivors
include his wife, Ruby Schlett, of Beaumont; son, Paul Schlett and his wife,
Miriam Vallejo, of Houston; daughter, Sheila Ramirez and her husband, Tony, of
Beaumont; brother, Norman Schlett, of Houston; grandchildren, Justin Reeder,
Daniel Vallejo, Tony Vallejo, and Emily Vallejo; and great-grandson, Connor
Kenneth Christmas.
Paul
is preceded in death by his brother, James Wesley Schlett; and his sisters,
Marjorie Woodall and Willie Mae Austin.
A
gathering of Mr. Schlett’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00
p.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive,
Beaumont. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 12, 2016, at
Broussard’s, with his graveside service at 2:30 p.m., at Houston National
Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston.
