Mary
Catherine Jennis, 81, of Beaumont, died Friday, May 6, 2016, at Calder Woods,
Beaumont. A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont, Mary was born on February
13, 1935, to Annette Broussard Young and Harrison Young.
Survivors
include her son, Mike Jennis and his wife, Marlene, of Pinewood; daughter,
Melissa Ahrens and her husband Dennis, of Spooner, Wisconsin; sister, Anna Ruth
Price, of Silsbee; grandchildren, Brittany Jennis, of Nederland, Reneé Wilson
and Rebecca Wilson, both of Beloit,
Wisconsin, and Christine Tupa, of Spooner, Wisconsin; seven
great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary
is preceded in death by her parents; son, Mark Jennis; sister, Betty Hebert;
and brother, Rayford Young.
A
gathering of Ms. Jennis’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00
p.m., with her Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Monday, May 9, 2016, at
Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will
be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at St. Jude Thaddeus
Catholic Church, 6825 Gladys Avenue, Beaumont, with her interment to follow at
Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
