Patsy Merle Kokenes

Patsy
Merle Davis Kokenes was born on January 2, 1929, and died May 2, 2016. She was
born to Eugene and Melonee Davis. After graduating from Beaumont High School in
1946, she married her husband, Frank Kokenes. They were avid water skiers and
members of the Beaumont Boat Club and First Neches Ski Club.
Patsy
leaves behind her brother, Donald Davis and his wife, Rose; daughter, Deborah
Ann Lenoir and her husband, Marcus; sons, David Kokenes and Mark Kokenes and
his wife, Lisa; grandsons, Jarod and Ryan Lenoir, Dustin, Caleb, Daniel and
Jesse Kokenes; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She
is preceded in death by her husband, Frank; parents, Gene and Melonee Davis;
brother, Horace Davis and his wife, Patricia; sister, Dorothy Brown and her
husband, Eddie.
A
gathering of Mrs. Kokenes’ family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until
12:00 p.m., Saturday, May 7, 2016, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive,
Beaumont. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial
Park, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont.
Serving
as pallbearers will be Jarod and Ryan Lenoir; Dustin Kokenes; nephews, Tim
Brown and Geoff Davis; and longtime friend and neighbor, Anthony Tantillo.
