Nellie Smith Frasier,
81, of Groves, died Tuesday, April 19, 2016. She was born on June 3, 1934, in Arcadia, to Josephine King Smith and John
Fears Smith.
Nellie enjoyed
gardening, fishing, and being a mother to all.
Survivors include her
daughters, Sandra Breaux Chapman of Groves; Sharon Frasier Lilly and her
husband, Danny, of Timpson; and Cynthia Frasier Montana of Groves; sixteen
grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchildren; three
great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other
relatives and friends. She will be especially missed by her faithful Chihuahua,
Friday.
She was preceded in
death by first husband, James Ray Breaux; husband of fifty years, Captain Ted
Frasier; parents, Doc and Edie Smith; sons, Farrell, Doug, and Larry Frasier;
three brothers; and two sisters.
A gathering of Mrs.
Frasier’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday,
April 21, 2016, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
Her graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 22, 2016, at Pleasant
Grove Cemetery, County Road 1470, Center.
