Franzella Lopez Thibeaux

Franzella Lopez Thibeaux, 93, of Beaumont, died Saturday, April 16, 2016. She was born on

June 5, 1922, to Octave Lopez and Louisiana Vallot Lopez, in Segura, Louisiana.

Survivors include her sons, Wilson J. Thibeaux; William Thibeaux, Sr. (Rita G.); and Wilbert J. Thibeaux (Sharon) all of Beaumont; daughters include, Mary Ann Simon (Henry) of Beaumont; Marie E. Zeno (Frederic Sr.) of Beaumont; and Lorita Arceneaux of Raywood; sister, Mary Zenon (Raymond) of Abbeville, Louisiana; twenty-six grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren,  great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Whitney Thibeaux; one son, Whickles J. Thibeaux; son-in-law, Norris J. Arceneaux, Jr.; two grandsons, Wilford and Warren Thibeaux; one granddaughter, Anita Arceneaux; seven brothers, Francis Lopez, Walter Lopez, Frank Lopez, Wallace Lopez, Warren Lopez, Willie Lopez, and Joseph Lopez; and one sister, Victoria Lopez.

A gathering of Mrs. Thibeaux’s family and friends will begin at 8:00 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 9:15 a.m., Friday, April 22, 2016, at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church, 3390 Sarah Street, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church, with entombment to follow at Live Oak Memorial Park, Beaumont. Her arrangements are under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
