Ronald “Rabbit” Lee Miller, 68, of Winnie, passed away
Sunday, April 10, 2016, after a three year battle with cancer. He was born on
October 16, 1947, in Bartonville, Illinois, the son of Therese Mills Miller and
Wesley Lee Miller.
He was united in marriage to Linda L. Touchet, and on
February 15, 2016, celebrated thirty-three years of matrimony.
“Rabbit” was an over the road truck driver, for various
companies, for fifty-one years. His favorite truck was a Peterbuilt, and he
took pride in the different loads he would carry across the states. He made
many friends in his travels, which he remained in touch with.
He is survived by his wife, Linda L. Miller, of Winnie; one
brother, Richard Miller, of Girard, Illinois; son, Mike Miller of Girard,
Illinois; daughter, Melissa Kaydus, of Palmyra, Illinois; step-daughters, Mitzi
Johnson and Lisa Murray, both of Spring; step-son, Matt Touchet, of Winnie;
grandchildren, Briann Miller, of Girard, Illinois; Todd Miller, of Mandean,
North Dakota; Machala Kaydus, Hope Kaydus and
Michael Kaydus, III, all of Palmyra, Illinois; step-grandchildren, Zach
Johnson, of Los Angeles, California; Aaron Touchet, of Pampa; Matthew Touchet,
of Winnie; Kate Murray and Claire Murray, both of Spring; great-grandchildren,
Kyra Touchet, of Amarillo; and Jensen Campbell, of Girard, Illinois; many
nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by parents; five sisters, Mary Joe
Williams, Joyce Carn, Nancy Carpenter, Sue Bennette and Tina Larabe; two
nephews, John Kamm and Eddie Miller.
A private committal for Mr. Miller was held at
Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, Texas under the direction of Broussard’s,
134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie, Texas.
