Debra “Debbie” Black, 64, of Winnie, died Tuesday, April 5,
2016 at Riceland Medical Center. She was born on August 17, 1951, in Jennings,
Louisiana to Viola Trahan LaCombe and Nelson LaCombe. Debbie enjoyed fishing
and loved her animals. She was retired as floral manager, at Market Basket in
Winnie.
Survivors include her husband of eighteen years, Danny
“Hillbilly” Black, of Winnie; sons, Jeffery Lewis and his wife, Paulette, of
Winnie; Bryan Lewis of Crosby; Johnny Lewis and his wife, Kim, and Alan Lewis, all of Winnie; daughter,
Jessica Dixon and her husband Richard, of Clearfield, Kentucky; thirteen
grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Nelson LaCombe, Jr. and
his wife, Susan, of Guyedan, Louisiana; and Ricky LaCombe and his wife, Susan
of Moss Bluff, Louisiana; and sister, Loretta Lewis and her husband, Willie of
Ragley, Louisiana.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and great-grandson,
Mayson Lynn Lewis.
A gathering of Mrs. Black’s family and friends will be from
6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Friday, April 8, 2016, at Broussard’s, 134 West
Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday,
April 9, 2016, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery,
Winnie.
