Lane Cox

Lane Cox, 81, of LaBelle, died Tuesday, April 5, 2016. He was born on October 24, 1934, in Castor, Louisiana, to Margie Waters Cox and Lem Thomas Cox.

Survivors include his wife whom he adored, Elizabeth Cox of Labelle, April 25th would have made sixty-three years of marriage; sons, Gene Cox and his wife, Denise, of Nederland and Eddie Cox and his wife, Pam, of Labelle; grandchildren, Jennifer Bean, Angel Kelley, Randy Cox, Stephanie Martin, Josh Cox, and John Willie Cox; great-grandchildren, Madison, Zayne, Trinity, Warren, Cloey, Emily, Riley, Audrey, Abbie, and Colbie; brothers, Charlie and Frederick Cox of Coushatta, Louisiana; the Elliott family; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A gathering of Mr. Cox’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 7, 2016, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 8, 2016, at Broussard’s, Nederland, with interment to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.
