Bonnie Mae Trahan Clubb,
86, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, April 5, 2016. She was born on April 28, 1929,
in Starks, Louisiana, to Emma Drake Ashworth and Asa Teet Ashworth.
Bonnie graduated from
Starks High school in 1948 then attended Chenier Business School. She worked
for forty years and retired from Pig Stands Inc. starting as a carhop and
advancing to bookkeeper. Bonnie was an avid bowler, square dancer, and
gardener. She loved life and music, had
a mischievous twinkle in her eye and lived her life to the fullest.
Bonnie is survived by
her children, Syble Jeffcoat and her husband, Don; Gary Ray Trahan, all of
Beaumont; and Diane Richie of California; granddaughter, Pamela Paul and her
husband, David; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Jacob, Sydney and Sophie Paul,
all of Wynne, Arkansas; brother, Virgil Ashworth and his wife, Sharon, of
Abilene; sisters, Lydia Fontenot of Orange; and Betty Accord of Starks,
Louisiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in
death by her parents; and siblings, Charles (Hop) Ashworth, Mack Ashworth,
James Ashworth, Hazel Gibson, Opal Sabins and Edith Roberts.
A gathering of Mrs.
Clubb’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her funeral service to
follow at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 9, 2016, at North End Baptist Church, 5115 Eastex Freeway,
Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
Her interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
