Carl Bagesse, 76, of Midland, Texas died Friday, March 4, 2005 at the Veterans Hospital in Big Spring, Texas.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am, Wednesday March 9, 2005 at St. Louis Catholic Church with burial in Fairview Cemetery, under the direction of Broussard’s Mortuary, 134 W. Buccaneer, Winnie. A gathering of family and friends will be 5:00-8:00 pm, Tuesday evening with a rosary recited at 7:00 pm in the funeral home.

 

Carl was born on May 31, 1928 in Opelousas, Louisiana and grew up in Beaumont. He retired from the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration with 35 years of Federal Service. Mr. Bagesse was a veteran of the United States Navy and Air Force. He served the community as a Boy Scouts of America Scoutmaster and a Little League Umpire. He was also a show judge for the Texas Rabbit Breeders Association.

 

He is survived by wife Rena Bagesse of Midland, Texas; sons Virge Bagesse and wife Gerri of Orange; Robin Bagesse and wife Kathryn of Oklahoma City, David Bagesse of Phoenix, Daryl Bagesse of San Antonio; daughters Beverly Rogers and husband Brett of Portland, Texas, Teresa Demmer of Midland; brother Frank Bagesse and wife Collene of Beaumont; sisters Josephine Hooker of Redding, Ca, Rose Sampson and husband Stanley of Vidor; twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
