John
Ray Louviere, 82, of Nederland, died Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Harbor Hospice
of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. He was born on November 2, 1933, to Azilda
Simoneaux Louviere and Paul Felix Louviere, in Port Arthur, and was a United States
Navy veteran having served in the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Betty
Louviere; sons, Michael Ray Louviere and his wife, Mary, of Nederland; David
Wayne Louviere and his partner, Randy Fuselier, of Humble; Robert Louviere and
his wife, Karen, of Nederland; Charles Alan Louviere and his wife, Roxanne, of
Groves; and John Dale Louviere of Nederland; daughter, Angela Gayle Hanks of
Beaumont; brothers, Clarence Louviere, James Louviere, and Paul Frank Louviere;
grandchildren, Amanda Hand and her husband, Bobby; Leticia Sedatole; Landon
Louviere, and his wife, Erecka; Leslie Armitage and her husband, Tim; Tyler
Louviere; Chad Louviere; Ashley Trojcak; Tayler Trojcak; Alexandra Owen and her
husband, Clay; Gabrielle Louviere and her husband, Matt Odom; and Parker
Louviere; great-grandchildren, Haleigh Hand, Hunter Hand, Alyssa Sedatole,
Blake Louviere, Ryan Louviere, Ryder Armitage, Reid Armitage, Caroline Owen,
Oliver Odom; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He
is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Emory David Louviere and
Milton Shirley Louviere.
A
gathering of Mr. Louviere’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until
7:00 p.m., Friday, March 18, 2016, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive,
Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m.,
Saturday, March 19, 2016, at Our Lady Victory Catholic Church, 225 West
Barkley, Sour Lake. His interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery, Sour Lake.
