Helen Ann Furlong Moity,
65, of Nederland, died Wednesday, March 16, 2016. She was born on July 29,
1950, in Joplin, Missouri, to Virginia Hunter Furlong and William Ray Furlong.
Survivors include her
children, Renee Moity and her husband, Keith Reese; Shelly Lynn Moity; and James Ray Moity,
all of Nederland; mother, Virginia Furlong Dickson and her husband, Graham, of
Corsicana; grandchildren, Troy Reese, Kelsi Moity, Eric Moity, Devan Shaw, Alan
Floria, and Katy Robin; great-grandchildren, Daisy Reese and Remington Reese;
brother, Tommy Smith of Nebraska; and sister, Sonja Copeland of Missouri.
She is preceded in
death by her father, William “Fuzzy” Furlong; mother-in-law, Ruby Bonsall; and
great-grandmother, Lucy Phelps.
A gathering of Ms.
Moity’s family and friends will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 19, 2016, at
Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland, with her graveside
service following at 12:00 p.m., at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, 101 Block Street,
Port Neches.
