Edna Mary Hogan, 95, of
Beaumont, died Thursday, February 18, 2016. She was born on December 14, 1920,
in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Edna Fleniken Bott and Elmo Martin Bott.
Edna Mary grew up in
Beaumont, graduated from Saint Anthony High School, and attended Louisiana
State University for one year. She
married Edward John Hogan, Jr. on June 18, 1949, and was married for
sixty-three years. Edna was active in
Saint Anne’s Ladies, The Newman Club, the 49er’s Club, and volunteered at Saint
Anne’s School and Monsignor Kelly Catholic High School. Edna Mary was a
wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Survivors include her
daughters, Mary Colemon; Linda Clark and her husband, Mike; Tricia Furby and
her husband, Richard; Lauren Shelton and her husband, Leon; and Maureen Storie
and her husband, Walter; eleven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren,
with one on the way. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ed
Hogan; brother, “Bud” Bott; and son-in-law, Dave Colemon.
The family would like
to thank the nursing staff at Calder Woods Assisted Living and Harbor Hospice
House for the care given to Edna Mary.

A gathering of Mrs.
Hogan’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a
Rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at Broussard’s,
2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. A Mass
of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 24,
2016, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2715 Calder Avenue, Beaumont, with her interment
to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
