Raymond Roy, Jr., 54,
of Beaumont, died Wednesday, February 10, 2016. He was born on August 30, 1961,
to Effie Eve Thibodeaux Roy and Raymond Roy, Sr., in Beaumont.
Raymond was a carpenter
and enjoyed woodworking projects. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and fishing.
Raymond loved barbeque and crawfish.
Survivors include his
wife of thirty-five years, Vanessa Roy of La Belle; daughter, Layla Defrancis
and her husband, Jacob, of Port Arthur; grandson, Anthony Nathan Defrancis;
brothers, Ivan Bertrand and his wife, Barbara, of Beaumont and Lee Bertrand and
his wife, Sally, of Fannett; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other
relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death
by his parents; brother, Calvin Bourque; sister, Delta Gray; and father-in-law,
Nathan Broussard.
A private family
committal for Mr. Roy was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, under the direction
of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
