Jay "Boonie" Dee Bruce

Jay Dee “Boonie” Bruce, 82,
of Hamshire, died Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at Baptist Hospitals of
Southeast Texas, Beaumont. She was born December 22, 1933, in Beaumont, to Edna
LeBlanc Lloyd and James Davis Lloyd, and had been a longtime resident of the
Hamshire area.
Survivors include her husband
of sixty-two years, Dennis Bruce, Sr.; sons, Skipper Bruce; Ernie Bruce and his
wife, Deana; daughter, Darla King and her husband, Tony; grandchildren,
Jennifer Hughes; Sommer Salamanca; Mark Bruce and his wife, Jacy; Dustin
Richard and his wife, Michele; Jessica Pulliam and her husband, Joseph; and
Megan Toohey and her husband, Andrew; eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Mary
Wesner and her husband, Ernie; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by
her parents; and brothers, Bubba Lloyd and Reggie Lloyd, Sr.
A
gathering of Mrs. Bruce’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.,
Friday, February 12, 2016, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Her graveside
service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 13, 2016, at Fairview Cemetery, 223
Cemetery Road, Winnie.
