Doris Lynn George, 85, of Silsbee, died Monday, February 8, 2016.  She was born on January 26, 1931, in Dallas, to Ruth Pipkin Gaston and Raymond Joseph Gaston.

Survivors include her children, Teresa English and her husband, Mitch, of Lumberton; Sharon George of Houston; Jeff George and his wife, Lisa, of California; Melanie Almufti and her husband, Hani, of Groves; Joel George of Groves; and Jennifer Kidder of Kountze; grandchildren, Evan Carter, Michah English, Ben English, Hannah Stone, Danielle Nunez, Caitlin George, Taylor George, Caleb Flannigan, Saif Ahmed, Mona Almuftti, Iman Almufti, Layla Almufti, Lauren Kidder, Bailey Kidder; great-grandchildren, Amelia Flannigan and Lincoln Stone; and sister, Mollie Gaston of Dallas.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur George, Sr.; and son, Arthur George, Jr.

A gathering of Mrs. George’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 11, 2016, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 12, 2016, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Hardin Memorial Park, Silsbee.
