Syble Davis, 89, of
Beaumont, died Sunday, February 7, 2016. She was born on June 25, 1926, to
Amora Stewart Thaxton and Charlie Thaxton, in Florien, Louisiana, and had been
a longtime resident of Beaumont.
Survivors include her sons,
Danny Ray Davis and his wife, Priscilla Jean, of Vidor and Donald Gene Davis
and his wife, Nancy, of Lumberton; daughters, Ginger Chambers and her husband,
Randy and Pamela Ann Galindo, both of Beaumont; sisters, Etoy Ellzey of
Beaumont and Marlene Hardin of San Jacinto; eleven grandchildren; sixteen
great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by
her parents; husband, Leonard Ray Davis; four brothers; and five sisters.
A gathering of Mrs. Davis’
family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 9,
2016, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service
will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at Broussard’s. A
graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at Mitchell Cemetery in
Anacoco, Louisiana.
