Rosa Parigi Rinando, 96, of Beaumont, died
Saturday, February 6, 2016, at Christus Hospital -- St. Elizabeth. She was
born October 7, 1919 on Maple Street in Beaumont, Texas, to Joseph S. Parigi
and Concetta Brocato Parigi. She attended Beaumont Schools and graduated from
Beaumont High School in 1937.
Shortly after graduation, her family
introduced her to the Rinando family at the beach where she met her intended
husband, Frankie Rinando. On June 4, 1939, they united in marriage at St.
Joseph Catholic Church. Soon after marriage, she joined her husband Frankie in
the dry cleaning business working side by side. After 51 years of marriage, her
husband died in 1991. She continued to work until she was 84 years old. From
this union five children were born, Vincent Frank, Joseph Edward, Nancy Marie,
Frank Cyril Jr., and Paul Gerard.
From the five children she was blessed with
fourteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren
which she loved dearly. Later in life after attending numerous ball games, she
enjoyed visiting the casinos in Louisiana.
Rosa is survived by her sons, Vincent Rinando and
his wife, Katherine; Joseph Rinando and his wife, Connie; Frank Rinando and his wife, Susan; Paul Rinando and
his wife, Sherri; daughter, Nancy Hurlburt and her husband Bob; sisters,
Josephine Drago, Annie Coco, Frances Fontano; sister-in-law, GiGi Parigi; grandchildren,
Rose Marie and Alex Herarra, Paula and Kevin Driskill, Vince, Jr. and Amy
Rinando, Christopher and Jennifer Rinando, Lisa and Brett Yarbro, Mark and
Jennifer Rinando, Tommy Hurlburt, Robert and Ashley Hurlburt, Dr. Brian
Hurlburt, Frank C. Rinando, III and Dr Monica Rinando, Dr. Lauren and Andrew
Nelson, Erin and Zach Culp, Richard and Denise Summers and Shelley and Mike
Karne.
She was proceeded in death by her parents; and siblings,
Sam and Dominic Parigi, Concetta Drago, Santa Marino, Sara Marino, and Johanna
Fertitta.
A special thank you to her caretakers, Clair
Tiemann, Erica Easterling, and Lucy Bensurto.
Rosa will be missed by family and friends.
A Rosary for Mrs. Rinando will be recited at 6:00
p.m., Monday, February 8, 2016, at Broussard's, 2000 McFaddin Avenue,
Beaumont, with a gathering to follow. A Mass of Christian Burial will be
10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2016, At St. Anne Catholic Church, 2715 Calder
Avenue, Beaumont. Her interment will follow at
Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
