James "Jimmy" Terrell Turk

James Terrell “Jimmy” Turk, 75, of Silsbee, died Monday,
February 1, 2016, at Christus
Hospital – St. Elizabeth,
Beaumont. He was born on November 1, 1940, in Beaumont, to Ethel Reddell and George Laban
Turk. He was an engineer with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Creasy Turk; children, Ben
Turk; Mitch Turk and his wife, Teshauna; Clay Gilbert and his wife, Tammie, all
of Silsbee; Wade Gilbert and his wife, Lisa, of Diboll; and Casey Gilbert and
his wife, Sonia, of Pearland; special children, Dee Dee and Lola;
grandchildren, Natalie Turk, Chance Roden, Colby Roden, Logan Gilbert, Jason
Gilbert, Lauren Gilbert, Hannah Gilbert, Sarah Gilbert, Katherine Gilbert,
Allison Gilbert; and great-grandchild, Piper Gilbert.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, George
Laban Turk, Jr. and Clifford O. Turk.
A gathering of Mr. Turk’s family and friends will begin at 4:00
p.m., with his funeral service at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, February 4, 2016, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery
Road, Silsbee. His committal will be held at
Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
