Charlotte
Kay Van Horn, 56, of Vidor, died Tuesday, January 26, 2016. She was born on
January 31, 1959, to Gloria Ann Merendino and Morris Merendino, Jr., in
Beaumont, Texas. Charlotte was owner and operator of Merc DryWall LLC.
Survivors
include her husband of thirty-nine years, Richard Lee Van Horn; sons, Richard
Eric Van Horn and his wife, Christy, of Lumberton and Marcus Lee Van Horn and
Ashley; brother, Morris Wayne Merendino and his wife, Paula, of Beaumont;
grandchildren, Kaydance Morgan Van Horn and Kennedy Ann Van Horn; and numerous
aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
She
is preceded in death by her parents, Gloria and Morris Merendino; sister, Gwen
Griffith; and grandparents, Thelma and Morris Merendino, Sr. and Hazel and
Clarence Williams.
A
Rosary for Mrs. Van Horn will be recited at 6:00 p.m., with her gathering to
follow until 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 29, 2016, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major
Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.,
Saturday, January 30, 2016, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1600 North
Main Street, Vidor. Her interment will follow at Hillebrandt Cemetery, Beaumont.
