Edd Lee DuBois

Edd Lee DuBois, 69, of Fannett, died Thursday, January 21, 2016, at Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. A native of Beaumont, he was born on February 1, 1946, to Ruthie Lee Everage and Edd Lee DuBois, Sr.

Edd worked at J&J Manufacturing for many years and as a pipefitter for Local 195 for thirty years. In 2001 he started a welding and fabrication shop. During retirement Edd enjoyed growing vegetables in his garden and sharing with family and friends. He also spent time working on projects in his welding shop. His passion was deer hunting and duck hunting. He enjoyed successfully managing his deer lease for 38 years and duck lease for many years.  He made many friends because he was not shy when it came to talking and telling stories. He loved sports and enjoyed watching his sons and grandchildren play.  He was all about family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Sheryl DuBois; sons, Douglas DuBois and his wife, Samantha and Steven DuBois and his wife, Carly, both of Fannett; brothers, Cecil DuBois of Fannett; Danny DuBois and his wife, Susan, of Burkeville; and Donnie DuBois and his wife, Brenda, of Lumberton; sister, Glenda Daniels and her husband, Bill, of Atascocita; grandchildren, Ashley Racca, Bret Theis and fiancée, Courtney Raley, Tanner DuBois, Mason DuBois, Paityn Brumley, Maggie DuBois; and Laney DuBois; and great-grandchild, Hensley Theis.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Dale DuBois.

A gathering of Mr. DuBois’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 25, 2016, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
