Michael Edmonson
Tyndall, 68, of Beaumont, died Thursday, January 21, 2016, in Columbus,
Mississippi. He was born on April 29, 1947, in Beaumont, to Mary Elisabeth
Edmonson Tyndall and Thomas Matthews Tyndall, Sr., and was a lifelong resident
of the area.
Mike attended Lamar University where he was a member of the
Sigma Chi fraternity, and went on to graduate from Stephen F. Austin
University.
He began his career at Bethlehem Steel in Beaumont and
eventually moved to Coburn Supply, where he worked for the next 30 years. Through the
years, he enjoyed weekly games of Bridge with the guys and escaping to his shop
where he would spend hours ‘piddling’ and honing his woodworking hobby. Upon retirement,
Mike and Lissa moved to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
Michael is survived by
his wife, Lissa Hayes Tyndall; daughters, Anne Yeates Tyndall; and Sally
Tyndall Earwood and her husband, Brad; granddaughter, Anne Lowry Earwood;
sisters, Ann Morian and Elisabeth Rodriguez; brother, Randy Tyndall; mother-in-law,
Renee Hayes; and host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death
by his parents; brother, Thomas Matthews Tyndall, Jr.; and father-in-law, James
L. Hayes.
A gathering of Mr.
Tyndall’s family and friends will begin at 11:00 a.m., with a Mass of Christian
Burial to be celebrated at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 25, 2016, at St. Anne
Catholic Church, 2715 Calder Avenue, Beaumont, under the direction of
Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His interment will follow at
Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
