Louise Sherrill Campbell Lunsford
April 13, 1927 - January 20, 2016
Born and raised in Houston, Louise attended Austin High
School and Feather and Feather Interior Design School. Louise married the love
of her life Charles Campbell in 1948. The Campbell's had two daughters Cheryl
and Carol. Charlie and Louise were active in Garden Villas Community Church,
they danced with Garden Villas Square Dance club, and traveled in their motor
home around the United States in their years together. Charles passed
in 1998 just after they celebrated their 50 years of marriage. Louise loved to work in the yard and her flower beds were
evidence of this passion. She was a talented seamstress and knitter.
In 2004 Louise married Ralph Lunsford whom she had known
since the 8th grade. After their marriage she relocated to Beaumont. His church
home of St Andrews Presbyterian welcomed Louise with open arms. She volunteered
at the church, helping get the weekly newsletter ready for mail
out. Louise was an avid knitter and was a member of "knit wits"
in both Houston and Beaumont. Louise and Ralph were active members
of Belles and Beaus Square Dance club. Louise became a "Texas
Aggie” by marriage. She and Ralph attended most Aggie home games in College
Station. They also traveled together all over the world making friends where
ever they went.
Cancer is violent. Louise fought cancer for several years
with all she had! She was quite determined that cancer was not going to slow
her down.
"Neanie" will be
remembered by her grandsons for all of the crazy hats, shoes, costumes, games,
and fun she had with them.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph V Lunsford; daughters,
Cheryl Campbell Fels and husband, Don; and Carol Campbell Green and husband,
Dick; and grandsons, Jeff Kirk, Rex Green and Greg Fels Steen and his wife,
Ann, and their children, William, Andrew, and Virginia; stepson, Bob Lunsford
and wife, Laura.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Maxine Sherrill;
sister, Betty Jane Sherrill; husband, Charles Campbell; and grandson, Ryan
Green.

Lunsford will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 23, 2016, at St. Andrews
