Joyce Garrison Bishop,
94, of Beaumont, died Thursday, January 21, 2016. She was born on October 21,
1921, in Beaumont, to Mary Cornelia Myers Garrison and Everett Edward Garrison,
Sr., and was a lifelong resident of the area.
Joyce is survived by
her daughters, Susan Kent and her husband, Tommy; Deborah Sanford and her
husband, Charles, all of Beaumont; and Jan Thomson of Goring, England;
grandchildren, Shea Kent and his wife, Laurie, of Beaumont; Cullen Kent and his
wife, Katharine, of Memphis, Tennessee; Jason Young and his wife, Kelli, of
Lumberton; Clare Thomson of London, England; and Annie Val and her husband,
Carles, of London, England; great-grandchildren, Caldwell Kent, Eastin Kent,
and McKinley Kent, all of Beaumont; Jackson Young and Kolby Young, of
Lumberton; Lillian Kent and Nelson Kent, of Memphis, Tennessee; and Daniela
Val, Silvia Val, and Mauro John Thomson- Ritucci, of London, England.
She is preceded in
death by her husband, Nelson F. Bishop; great-granddaughter, Catherine Thomson;
and son-in-law, John Thomson.
A graveside service for
Mrs. Bishop will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 23, 2016, at Forest Lawn
Memorial Park, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s,
2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
