Frank Ruedas
December 14, 1963 - January 20, 2016
Francisco “Frank” Xavier
Ruedas, 52, went peacefully to be with our Lord on January 20, 2016.
Frank graduated from
Ysleta High School in 1983. He attended University of Texas at El Paso while
working at his family’s funeral home before moving to San Antonio and attending
Our Lady of the Lake University. Frank later moved back home to El Paso and,
while working again at his family’s funeral home, he decided that he wanted to
be a Funeral Director. He moved to
Dallas to attend Dallas Institute of Funeral Service where he graduated in 1988.
Frank moved back to El Paso after graduating, to work again with his family as
a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. His love for the bigger cities got
the best of him and had him moving back to Dallas. He did move around a bit,
but he found his dream job with Broussard’s Mortuary in Beaumont where he was
treated as one of the family. Frank loved his profession and took it very
seriously. The ability to help someone in their time of grief is hard, but very
gratifying when it has been done properly. That is something Frank took pride
in.
He is survived by his
mother, Lina Lucia Ruedas; brother, Antonio A. Ruedas, Jr. and his wife, Monica;
nephews, Ricardo Rodriguez, Jr., Xavier A. Rodriguez, Antonio A. Ruedas, III,
and Edwin Ruedas; nieces, Vanessa M. Rodriguez and Alejandra Dominguez. Frank was preceded in
death by his father, Antonio A. Ruedas; and sister, Guadalupe Rodriguez.
A Christian Vigil for Mr.
Ruedas will be at 4:00 p.m., with a gathering of his family and friends to
follow until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, January 24, 2016, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th
Street, Nederland.
