Douglas Arthur
Youngblood, 73, of Beaumont, died Thursday, January 14, 2016, at Harbor
Hospice, Beaumont. he was born on February 23, 1942, in Shelby County, Texas, to
Cora McKenzie and Arthur D. Youngblood, and had been a longtime resident of
Beaumont. Douglas was a United States Navy veteran, having served during the
Cuban Crisis.
Douglas is survived by
his wife, Bess Bourn; sister, Eula Hendrick and her husband, Jerry, of
Navasota; children, Lisa Sheffield, of Beaumont and Lauri Bonnette and her
husband, Jay, of Silsbee; grandchildren, Hillary Clarke and her husband, Cliff,
of Fort Worth; Katie Sheffield, of Beaumont; Alex Bonnette, of Fort Worth; and
Austin Bonnette, of Beaumont; and great-grandchildren, Wesley Clarke and Archer
Clarke, both of Fort Worth.
A gathering of Mr.
Youngblood’s family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Saturday,
January 16, 2016, at Broussard’s 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A private
committal will be at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
