Debbie Graves, 63, of
Port Neches, died Sunday, January 10, 2016. She was born on December 9, 1952,
in Jackson, Mississippi, to Freddie and Dale Leggett.
Debbie was a very
talented pianist and accompanied for multiple school competitions. She also
played for Procter Baptist Church for thirty-five years. Debbie was an avid
softball fan and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and mimi.
Survivors include her
husband of forty years, Skeeter Graves of Port Neches; daughters, Chelsea
Graves and her wife, Evangeline Burkart, of Groves; Rachel Lyons and her
husband, Aaron, of New Braunfels; and Jessica Gaspard of Starks, Louisiana;
grandchildren, Raegan, Xephyn, William, Zoey, Alexander, and Elizabeth; father,
Dale Leggett of Frisco; sister, Cherrie Kilby and her husband, Larry, of
Frisco; and brother, Fred Leggett and his wife, Suzanne, of Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma.
She was preceded in
death by her mother, Freddie Leggett; sons, Raegan and Zachary Graves; and
grandson, Darren Gaspard.
A gathering of Mrs.
Graves’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday,
January 12, 2016, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
Her funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 14, 2016, at
Hawthorn Funeral Home, 307 W Wellington Street, Carthage, with interment to
follow at Gary Cemetery, Gary.
