Grace Robertson Morgan

Grace Robertson Morgan, 99, went
home to be with the lord on Thursday, January 7th, 2016. She was
born July 23rd 1916 to Elizabeth ‘Bessie’ Foster Robertson and
Edward ‘Eddie James’ Robertson, in De Quincy, Louisiana.
Grace graduated from
Hull-Daisetta High School, Daisetta, Texas. She lived in California for three
years and attended architect school while working at the Douglas Air Force
Base.
In 1946, she married William
‘Bill’ Benson Morgan. They were involved in the furniture business for almost
60 years and raised three beautiful children. Throughout her many years, she
enjoyed playing golf, horseback riding, bowling, was a member of Milady’s
Garden Club and was famous for her pot of homemade shrimp gumbo.
She is preceded in death by her
parents, Bessie and Eddie James Robertson, her brothers Edward, Irwin, Ursel,
Emerson and Bevil, and her sister Holly B.
She is survived by her three
children; Linda Jones Fowler of Fort Worth, Bill Morgan and his wife Patricia
of Beaumont, and Janice Hebert and her husband Mike J. of Beaumont; eleven
grandchildren, Kristy Morgan Clearman, Karen Morgan Lloyd, Kelly Morgan
Judkins, William ‘Will’ Benson Morgan III, Kimberly Jones Morrison, Scott
Jones, Andy Jones, Jason Hebert, Ryan Hebert, Melissa Hebert; eighteen
great-grandchildren; a whole host of nieces and nephews; and his wonderful
caregivers Carolina, Lynette, Rebecca, and Jostena, and others who ministered
and cared for her.
A memorial service for Mrs.
Morgan will be at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, January 10, 2016, at Calvary Baptist
Church, 3650 Dowlen Road, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605
North Major Drive, Beaumont.
