Angelina
Battaglia Aiena, 95, formerly from Beaumont, and resident of Dayton the last
ten years, died Tuesday, December 29, 2015.
She was born on March 9, 1920, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to Josephine Barranco
Battaglia and Vincent Battaglia.
Angelina
was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Beaumont and Dayton.
Angelina
is survived by her children, Frank Aiena, Jr., of Beaumont and Rose Marie Aiena
Carson and her husband, Leon, of Dayton; grandchildren, Sondra Soper and her
husband, Doug; Angie Scruggs and her husband, Randy; Michelle Tiemann, and her
husband, Leslie; Frank Aiena, III and his wife, Connie; James Carson; and
Robert Aiena; thirteen great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She
is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Aiena, Sr.; sisters, Sarah Chapman
and Tina Defatta, and brother, Phillip Battaglia.
A
gathering of Mrs. Aiena’s family and friends will begin at 3:00 p.m., with a
Rosary recited at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, January 3, 2016, at Broussard’s, 2000
McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. A Mass of
Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 4, 2016, at St.
Joseph Catholic Church, 1115 Orange Street, Beaumont, with interment to follow Forest
Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
