Marie
Szymaszek, 83, of Bay City, died peacefully on December 26, 2015, with her
family by her side.
Marie
was born on June 6, 1932, in Houston, but spent most of her childhood in
Schulenburg. She attended Baylor University, where she met Floyd Szymaszek.
Married for 60 years, Marie and Floyd had a passion for travel and the
outdoors. They loved hunting, fishing, photography, and bird watching. They
resided in Bay City for greater than 50 years.
She
is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd and her son, David.
Survivors
include three daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Mike Allison, Cindy and David
Allen, and Paula and Corky Efird; and by many loving grandchildren;
great-grandchildren; step-grandchildren; and other family members.
A
memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 2, 2016, at
Holy Cross Catholic Church, 2001 Katy Avenue, Bay City. Her cremation
arrangements were handled under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major
Drive, Beaumont.
The
