Terry Howard Millender

Terry Howard Millender of Crystal Beach, went to Heaven to be with the Lord on Monday, December 14th, 2015, at age 54. He was born on May 5, 1961 in Apalachicola, Florida to Howard and Mary Nell Millender. He married Belinda, his true soulmate, on December 27, 1993.

Terry has lived on Bolivar Peninsula since he was 3 years old. He spent his life on the water as a commercial crabber doing what he loved. He also loved being with his close-knit family, hunting, fishing, bowling, and golfing. Terry was a God-fearing man and loved the Lord above all else. He was also an active local member of First Baptist Church of Crystal Beach. He was a man of few words, but the words he spoke were kind, loving, and wise.

A few weeks before his passing, Terry told his mother, "I love my life and I would not change anything about it".

Terry is survived by his wife, Belinda Millender; daughter, Ami Millender; parents, Howard and Mary Nell Millender; sister, Barbara Cowie and husband Roger; twin brother, Gerry Millender and wife Jeanie; sister, Janita Freed and husband Mike; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family would like to thank Texas EquiSearch, the local Fire Department, and the many local residents for their perseverance throughout the search and recovery.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Crystal Beach, Texas. Officiating will be Reverend Bucky Faggard and Reverend Gordon Vaughn.

In lieu of flowers, Dr. Richard V. Krumholz has set up a memorial fund designated for support of Belinda and Ami Millender. A gift can be made in their name at any Frost Bank location.
