Willie
Faye Carr, 79, of Beaumont, died Friday, December 18, 2015, at Baptist Hospitals
of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. She was born on May 21, 1936, to Laura Simpson
Hinson and Grover C. Hinson, and had been a longtime resident of Beaumont.
Willie
is survived by her husband, William A. Carr; children, Vonda Earnhart and her
husband, Steve, of Austin; Walter Shackelford and Janice Bonura, both of
Beaumont; stepchildren, Gloria Serafino and her husband, Mart, of Beaumont and
Glenda Beggs and her husband, Mike, of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; grandchildren,
Chad Walker, Darrell Walker, Jessica Bonura, Jeremy Bonura, Jason Bonura, Kris
Shackelford, Summer Shackelford, Daniel Shackelford, and Jake Serafino; great-grandchildren,
Russell Shackelford, Brandon Walker, and Alyssa Walker; great-great-granddaughter,
Eva Michelle Walker; sisters, Zennie Thomas and Ray Ella Self; and brother,
Prentice Hinson.
She
is preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; and one brother.
A
gathering of Mrs. Carr’s family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m., with her funeral
service at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, December 20, 2015, at Broussard’s, 1605 North
Major Drive, Beaumont. Her graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m., at
Hinson Cemetery, Highway 464, DeRidder, Louisiana.
