Ethel
Bergdorf, 93, of Fannett, died Monday, December 14, 2015. She was born on June
2, 1922, in Ville Platte, Louisiana, to Mary Carrier and Marshall Dupree.
She
is survived by her daughters, Betty Blaylock and her husband, Bill, both of
Beaumont; and Lillian Hebert of Fannett and Cy Ladd of Beaumont; brother, Leon Dupree and
his wife, Toni, of Groves; eight grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and
one great-great-grandchild.
She
is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cleveland “Pick” Bergdorf; sons,
John Bergdorf and James Bergdorf; daughter, Ruth Bergdorf; great-grandchild,
Taylor Dawn Harris; and daughter-in-law, Jackie Bergdorf.
A
Rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m., Friday, December 18, 2015, with a
gathering to follow until 7:00 p.m., at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive,
Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m.,
Saturday, December 19, 2015, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 9894 Gilbert,
Fannett, with her interment to follow at Landrum Cemetery, Fannett.
Her
family would like to thank Texas Total Health for the great care of Mrs.
Bergdorf. Also, her family would like to express their deepest gratitude to
Tommy Dearbonne for being such a wonderful caring friend.
