Bobby Lee Powell

Bobby
Lee Powell, 69, of Silsbee, died Monday, November 23, 2015, at Christus
Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. He was born on May 27, 1946, in Port Arthur,
to Sally Marie Jiminez Powell and James Madison Powell, and had been a resident
of Silsbee for thirty-seven years. Bobby
was a United States Marine Corps veteran having served in Vietnam, and was an
insurance agent.
He
is survived by his wife, Carol Powell of Silsbee; daughters, Patricia Smith and
her husband, Robert; Talisa Parsons and her husband, Mark; and Sally Stanley
and her husband, Dugan, all of Silsbee; Mae Odom and her husband, David, of
Kountze; and Linda Vashaw and her husband, Jon, of Gilbert, Arizona; sixteen
grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and brothers, Jimmy Fontenot of Crowley,
Louisiana; Carl Hudman of Lumberton; and Lester Veillon of Beaumont. Bobby
is preceded in death by his parents; son, Gary Powell; and sisters, Mary Fontenot and Landy Earhardt.
His
graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 27, 2015, at Glenwood
Cemetery, Groveton, under the direction of Broussard's, Silsbee. A memorial service for Mr. Powell will be 10:00 a.m.,
Saturday, November 28, 2015, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints, 8622 FM 418, Silsbee.
