Joy Rita Kea

Joy Rita Kea, 85, of Beaumont, died Friday, November 13, 2015, at Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born on February 5, 1930, to Stannie Broussard Montondon and Gilman Montondon, in Port Arthur.

Survivors include her daughters, Debbie Kea Prihoda and her husband, Joe, of Beaumont; Nancy Guarnieri and her husband, Bill, of Tomball; and Lisa Joy Leger and her husband, Sean, of Atascocita; grandchildren, Jason Guarnieri, Lynne Jones, Christopher Guarnieri, Leslie Wilde, Stephen Guarnieri, Vinc Prihoda, Chelsea Leger, Ross Leger, Taylor Leger, and Sophie Leger; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Logan Jones, Liliana Kea Wilde, Sophia Guarnieri, Dante Guarnieri, Jackson Wilde, and Gianna Guarnieri.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Kea and son, Randy Alcine Kea.

A gathering of Mrs. Kea’s family and friends will begin at 5:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 6825 Gladys Avenue, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
